How to Migrate a Cloud Server to Another Location

Cloud Server Location Migration

Ozonti Cloud Servers are deployed in the location selected during provisioning

By default, Cloud Servers cannot be moved between locations directly from the control panel

Managed Location Migration — $20 USD
If you need to move an existing Cloud Server to another available Ozonti location, our team can perform the migration for a one-time $20 USD migration fee

Option 1 — Migrate Your Existing Cloud Server

If you would like to keep your existing Cloud Server and move it to another location, please open a support ticket and provide the following information

  • Cloud Server hostname or service ID
  • Current server location
  • Requested destination location

Our team will review the request and arrange the migration to the requested location when available

Migration Fee: $20 USD one time

Option 2 — Destroy and Deploy a New Cloud Server

If you prefer not to pay the migration fee, you can destroy your current virtual machine and deploy a new Cloud Server in the location you need

There is no location migration fee when you destroy the existing VM and deploy a new server yourself

Important
Destroying a Cloud Server permanently deletes the virtual machine and all data stored on it
Make sure you have a valid backup of any important data before destroying the server
