Outbound SMTP Port 25 Policy

To protect our network reputation and IP address ranges, Ozonti Network will block outbound TCP port 25 by default on all services

This measure helps prevent spam, malware, compromised servers, unauthorized bulk email and activities that may negatively affect our network reputation

What does this mean:

  • Outbound TCP port 25 is blocked by default
  • SMTP ports 465 and 587 remain available
  • Customers with a legitimate need for port 25 must submit a support ticket
  • All requests are reviewed manually
  • Approval is not guaranteed

Requesting Port 25 Access

Customers requesting access must provide the following information

  • Intended use of the mail server
  • Domain or domains used for sending email
  • Estimated sending volume
  • Confirmation that SPF, DKIM, DMARC and PTR/rDNS will be properly configured
  • Details about how spam and unauthorized email will be prevented

Port 25 access may be revoked immediately if spam, abuse, malware, blacklist activity or suspicious sending behavior is detected

Customers using authenticated SMTP services may continue using ports 465 or 587 without requesting port 25 access
